Preparations and First Look

Izzy and Ali began their day with separate preparations in London. Izzy got ready in a hotel suite, surrounded by her bridesmaids and family, while Ali prepared nearby. Their first look was an intimate moment captured before heading to Kew Gardens for the ceremony.

Hair and makeup were styled by Zivileh MUA and Gemma Fee Hair & Makeup, ensuring the couple felt confident and radiant for both photography and film.

Ceremony at the Nash Conservatory

The couple’s ceremony was held in the elegant Nash Conservatory. A bespoke celebrant led the service, incorporating a traditional Islamic nikah ceremony performed by Ali’s brother and elements of the Chinese “red thread of fate” ritual. Silk floral arrangements lined the aisle and framed the archway at the top of the ceremony, blending both heritage and botanical beauty.

The ceremony was deeply personal and emotional, a reflection of their journey from friendship to secret romance and finally, to marriage surrounded by loved ones.

Portraits and Drinks Reception

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the Princess of Wales Conservatory, accompanied by live music from the Elmore Quartet. Meanwhile, we took Izzy and Ali around Kew Gardens, capturing portraits in front of Palm House, along the garden paths, and within the iconic greenhouses. Each shot highlighted both the couple’s connection and the breathtaking venue.

Reception in the Temperate House

The Temperate House was transformed into a stunning reception space, with long tables down the centre of the room and a large dance floor. Both families entered the room with music representing their heritage, and the celebration included heartfelt speeches, an intimate dinner, and a lively party where guests danced throughout the evening.

The day seamlessly combined personal moments, cultural traditions, and the grandeur of Kew Gardens, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The Wedding Film

As Izzy and Ali’s Kew Gardens wedding videographer, we created a cinematic record of the day that balances the beauty of the venue with the emotion of the couple. Our work included:

  • A one-minute highlight trailer
  • A full 8-minute short film capturing ceremony, portraits, cultural rituals, and dancing
  • Music and editing that reflect the couple’s personalities and heritage

The resulting films allow Izzy and Ali to return to their wedding day again and again, reliving the laughter, vows, music, and atmosphere of Kew Gardens.
